EDIT: So, guys! For all of you who want to join, here's the group!

The icon is provisional for now... xD If anyone wants to give it a try, tell me 8D Also, for now, just join. I'll add the information about January's assignment tomorrow, or maybe tonight, later

-----------------------------------------------
... I propose you a project. Lemme explain

So, this was, at first, something I was going to do by myself. By the end of 2012, I looked at my art and wondered if I was actually improving. I had the sensation that, indeed, I had gotten a bit better... but just a bit. I had neglected real practice, real hard work, never getting out of my comfort area. And that is not good. Ever since I left Comic School and I got into University I have focused on some other things, and I have forgotten about drawing as a living... and it makes me really sad, because I must confess that nothing would make me happier than drawing as a profession, or even better, animation. For now I intend to finish my degree in Translation and Interpretation, but I sometimes feel really confused about my life. Like everyone, I guess.
So. This year I proposed myself I would stick to the rules we had at Comic class, and I would plan a schedule in which every month I'd have to do something to actually improve. I'm writing to you now because maybe some of you feel the way I do and might be interested in joining me in this One-Year-Improvement challenge. If so, I could create a little group to organize it, and we could critique each other's works in order to learn from our mistakes ^^ (and I would be really pleased to share all the knowledge I learned during my years at comic class).
Anyway, this would be the schedule:

January: Creation of a character. A fullbody drawing, and a headshot + personality and extra info.

February: Complete turn-around of the character + sheet of facial expressions.

March: Different dynamic poses + drawing hands practice.

April: Interaction between characters, various people poses.

May: Clothing design. Clothing in motion applied to dynamic poses.

June: Design of the outside and inside of a place (scenario, perspective practice).

July: Drawing of your initial character in that place.

August: Age meme of your character (aging process practice). Extra: animal design.

September: Narrative. Design of a script/storyboard. Extra: turning an object into a human (personification practice).

October: Cleaning the storyboard and turning it into a comic (3 pages maximum).

November: Color and ilumination.

December: Free illustration and final valoration.

And that's pretty much it! This is what I'd like to be doing this year to actually improve, because I really need it. If anyone wants to join me, let me know and we'll suffer improvement together

xD

PS. I wanted to change my username to Shams because a lot of people think my name's Eileen (silly past-self me!) but it's already taken by a guy who hasn't even used his account for 10 years. FML!
